David Cassidy has NO intention of going to jail!

On Wednesday, it was reported that the former teen heartthrob has pleaded not guilty to the nasty hit-and-run he was allegedly a part of back in September.

As we previously reported, the Partridge Family star slammed into a car, owned by a man named Pedro Vargas, while swerving in-and-out of lanes on Interstate 595 in Fort Lauderdale, FL. To make matters worse, it’s said that the actor seemed disoriented before taking off and even attempted to cover up his license plate following the incident.

Yikes! That certainly doesn’t look good for the I Think I Love You singer.

Surprisingly, the police officers that located the guitarist after the accident didn’t even test David for drugs and alcohol — despite his history with drinking and driving. Well that’s odd!

As you may remember, this isn’t the 65-year-old’s first run in with the law as he has been busted THREE times for DUIs in the last five years. Whoa!

Currently, the controversial celeb is charged with leaving the scene and for driving on a suspended license. Talk about a total face palm moment!

It’ll be inneresting to see if the songwriter can actually get out of this current bit of legal trouble. We guess we’ll just have to wait and see!
