Lamar Odom Was Reportedly Never Without Oxygen — Could Be Good Sign For Recovery

Get the details here.

Lamar Odom seems to be improving after being found unconscious at a legal Nevada brothel on Tuesday.

On Friday, he was reportedly taken off a ventilator, and was even able to speak briefly to estranged wife Khlo├â┬⌐ Kardashian, who hasn’t left his side since she first rushed out to Las Vegas’ Sunrise Hospital.

Now, sources are saying that the 35-year-old was never without oxygen, which could be a really good sign.

Based on the 9-1-1 calls, the basketball star was struggling to breathe when he was first discovered at Love Ranch South in Pahrump.

Insiders revealed that, when the NBA forward was first picked up by emergency services, his blood’s oxygen saturation was at 38%. That percentage jumped another 20% between the time paramedics began treating him and he finally was admitted to the emergency room.

Normal levels are in the upper 90s.

After he arrived at Desert View Hospital — and before he was transferred to Sin City — sources say the ball player was breathing 6-8 times each minute. The normal rate is 12-20 breaths per minute.

While he wasn’t breathing as frequently as he should have been, and the oxygen levels in his blood were low, experts believe these signs show the father-of-two was supposedly never without the crucial element.

According to reports, the ailing athlete’s doctors hope he didn’t suffer too much brain damage from oxygen deprivation. However, medical professionals allegedly aren’t sure how the strokes he supposedly suffered could affect the vital organ.

Our hearts are with everyone affected during this trying time, and we’re wishing Lamar a full recovery.
