This is so horrible.

During a night of what was supposed to be fun at the annual ZombiCon festival in Fort Myers, Florida, a gunman shot and killed one person and left four others wounded.

The victim, identified on Sunday morning as Expavious Tyrell Taylor, was a 20-year-old college student from Miami; no information has been released on the suspect — who is still on the loose — or the identities or updated conditions of any of the other four people wounded in the attack.

The shooting took place about 11:45 pm on Saturday night, according to police reports, with the festival’s organizers taking to Facebook to publish a message about the incident:

The organizers of Zombicon, Pushing DaiZies, Inc. are deeply saddened by the news of what happened within the footprint…

ZombiCon apparently had nearly 20,000 people in attendance packed in to downtown Fort Myers at the all-day event on Saturday, so this tragedy could have been much, much worse — but it’s still incredibly sad and unfortunate to see happen.

Our thoughts are with the victims and their families and loved ones.
