Amy Schumer was flying high this week after her HBO special aired on Saturday night, especially with some of the strong words she had to say about gender discrimination in Hollywood.

But by Tuesday morning, the Trainwreck star has come crashing back down to earth a bit, after people have started accusing her of joke theft regarding her closing bit from the special over the weekend.

Accusers on social media allege that the Inside Amy Schumer star lifted a bit about bizarre sex acts from Patrice O’Neal, a highly respected comic who died in 2011 after a stroke.

For her part, Amy responded to the controversy on Monday afternoon, saying she’d never seen O’Neal’s particular bit that has been called into question:

Fellow comedian Jim Norton then addressed the controversy in a Facebook post on Monday night, arguing that while the bits are similar, they are both inspired by the same starting point:
