‘Bun In The Oven’ Viral Video Star Is Now In Stable Condition — But Her Newborn Son Remains Critical

Dana Graves, the mother from the “bun in the oven” viral pregnancy video is in stable condition after giving birth 16 weeks prematurely — while her newborn son Kaleb remains in critical condition.

The baby was delivered via C-section on Tuesday, after Dana and her husband Arkell Graves learned that their unborn child was putting her health at risk.

Arkell explained:

“Kaleb had his mom’s blood pressure very, very high, to the point that it was putting her health at risk. The doctors came in every day and explained the risk of continuing to hold him inside.”

The father says his wife ignored the risks — after suffering four miscarriages and a stillborn — and continued to carry the baby until he reached the point that he would have the highest chances of survival.

He added:

“She refused to go on with the delivery until it was a time where they could actually take care of him in the neonatal intensive care unit. I’m going to tell you, just looking at my wife, it was the most selfless thing I have ever seen somebody do. [Doctors] were telling her, ‘This could affect your liver, this could affect your lungs, this may affect your heart,’ but her determination was to make it to one particular day.”

So brave!

After the delivery, Dana was in critical condition — but her condition has improved and she is now stable. Akrell continued:

“She’s doing better now. She just finished visiting Kaleb a few minutes ago and she’s doing well.”

We’re happy that Dana’s health has improved and hope that Kaleb pulls through — our hearts go out the couple as they continue to fight on!
