She entered our lives as a 21-year-old party girl, who became known for her hookups, heavy drinking, and crazy antics. But now, the pint-sized princess is revealing just why she acted that way on our television screens!
Earlier this month, the 27-year-old released a book titled Strong Is The New Sexy: My Kickass Story On Getting My Formula For Fierce, that explains just how she went from being 20 pounds overweight to the fit momma of two we know now.
But, as she shares in her story, the TV personality’s “steady diet of nachos and alcohol” wasn’t only packing on the pounds, it also made her act, well, less than intelligent. She writes:
“Although I was consuming thousands of calories a day during the party years, I was actually starving myself of healthy food. The more crap I ate, the stupider I got, as seen on Seasons 1 through 5 of Jersey Shore.”
But, the beauty explained that once she adopted healthier eating habits, her brain bounced back and she was able to get her sh*t together:
“When I stopped drinking and started eating lots of greens, whole grains, and lean meats, it was like my brain woke up from a five-year coma. My life turned around, and things clicked into place in my relationship and my career. What goes into your body comes out in your life. If you want success, love, and the strength to cope with anything life throws at you, feed your body the healthy food it needs.”
You know what they say: you are what you eat!
But we’d like to point out that while nachos might not be the smartest choice, they’re still AH-mazing, which means whether she’s on her new diet or revisiting old habits, Snooki’s always awesome! LOL!
