We’ve missed you grrrl!
Adele is back and we couldn’t be happier!
If you haven’t heard by now, the songstress just released her music video for her first single, Hello, off her upcoming album 25 which drops in November!
That’s right the Rolling in the Deep singer is BACK and we couldn’t be happier, especially seeing as how it’s her first bit of new music in about 3 years and her first new album in 4!
Even though the 27-year-old has her new tracks coming out in less than a month, she’s already thinking ahead to the future as she revealed this will probably be the last album she titles based on her age. She said in an interview:
“I think this will be my last age one… I’m sure I’m wrong with this, but I feel like there’s been a massive change in me in the last couple of years. Having become a parent, and me and all my friends suddenly living grown-up lives and having responsibilities we haven’t had before. [├óΓé¼┬ª] I feel like how I feel about myself is how I’m going to feel about myself forever.”
What an honest answer!
The hit singer went on to say:
“I feel like the idea of naming albums after my age is always to show a photograph of what’s going on in my life [at that time]. I feel like not that much is going to change profoundly in me from now on, in terms of how important years of my life are to myself.”
Awww, Adele’s DEFINITELY getting all mature on us as this sounds very similar to the open letter she wrote to announce her latest album. It stated:
“Turning 25 was a turning point for me, slap bang in the middle of my 20s. Teetering on the edge of being an old adolescent and a fully-fledged adult, I made the decision to go into becoming who I’m going to be forever without a removal van full of my old junk. I miss everything about my past, the good and the bad, but only because it won’t come back. When I was in it, I wanted out! So typical. I’m on about being a teenager, sitting around and chatting s├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥ and not caring about the future because it didn’t matter like it does now. The ability to be flippant about everything and there be no consequences. Even following and breaking rules├óΓé¼┬ª is better than making the rules.”
But if the Oscar winner’s not going to name her next album after her age, what does she plan to title it? Well, she had an idea for that too! She said:
“I think the next one is probably going to be called Adele. The real me.”
Of course she added:
“I’m just kidding.”
While we can’t wait for her new album to drop on November 20, she’s already getting us VERY excited for what she’s got planned after that!
Do you agree that she should drop the age titles for her album? And definitely let us know how excited you are for the new album in the comments (below)!
