Rihanna’s Former Publicist Confesses To Starting Jay Z Cheating Rumors That Supposedly Caused Beyonc├â┬⌐ To Break Up With Him!

So shady.

And finally the truth comes out!

On Friday, Rihanna‘s ex-publicist, Jonathan Hay, finally put the rumors that Jay Z once cheated on Beyonc├â┬⌐ with the Barbadian beauty to rest… because he says he started them!

RiRi’s former rep decided to come clean after J. Randy Taraborrelli announced he’s releasing an unauthorized Bey biography, in which he claims the cheating stories caused the power couple to split up for a year.

In the book, he also names Jonathan as the source of the speculation! And now, the man-in-question has admitted that the whole thing was made up, saying:

“It was all a publicity stunt.”

The publicist-turned-music-producer admits that when he first began to spread the rumors about a decade ago, he was just trying to get people interested in his artist’s debut single Pon De Replay.

He confessed:

“I was desperate at the time because I wanted to have a hit record.”

Jonathan revealed that he panicked once he learned about the upcoming tell-all, because he didn’t want it to ruin his business deal with the Big Pimpin’ rapper, saying:

“I was blindsided by the news of Becoming Beyonc├â┬⌐ coming out and it couldn’t come at a worse time for me. I’m currently releasing projects with my label Urban Hitchcock through Tidal, a company that is owned by Jay Z and Beyonc├â┬⌐ … Hopefully this news hasn’t ruined that relationship for me.”

He added:

“I didn’t think it would be this big story. But now, seeing Beyonc├â┬⌐ on the cover of this book and knowing that people are profiting from speculations and opinions about her really turns my stomach.”

The now-producer explains he has since apologized to B’s husband, and shares a similar sentiment when asked what he would say to his former client and the Drunk In Love singer, saying:

“I’d say I’m sorry.”

That was a pretty shady thing for him to do just to get people talking about the B*tch Better Have My Money songbird’s track…

But on the flip side, does that actually make him a good publicist? SOUND OFF in the comments (below)!
