The Weeknd Will Avoid Jail Time After Pleading ‘No Contest’ In Cop Punching Case — But Will Have To Do THIS Before He’s Completely In The Clear

the weeknd pleads no contest

Good news!

The Weeknd will not be facing jail time after pleading no contest for his January arrest where he punched a cop in Las Vegas. However, the Can’t Feel My Face singer has quite a few requirements he’ll have to follow before getting the case dismissed.

Reportedly, Bella Hadid‘s boyfriend will have to pay $1,000 to the police officer he assaulted, complete an anger management course, and take an alcohol evaluation. Yikes!

Not to mention, the 25-year-old has also been assigned 50 hours of community service because of the incident — which he’ll be allowed to complete at a non-profit in his native Canada. Well, that’s good to hear!

Despite all of the hoops he has to jump through, his verdict is still WAY better than getting locked up. We can’t be the only ones who think so??

Luckily, if the up-and-comer can follow these mandates and stay out of trouble, this whole situation should be resolved for good. Phew!

What do U think?! Did The Weeknd get a fair sentence??
