Angel’s son Johnny was just diagnosed with leukemia, so the Vegas magician hopped on a plane back to Australia in order to be with the 2-year-old.

Angel even took to Twitter to make the announcement, saying:

The Sin City performer followed the announcement up with a couple more tweets with pictures of himself with his son, as well as a thanks to fans for their support. He tweeted:

Interestingly enough, this was the first time that the magic man confirmed he was even a father, though it was well known that Angel married Johnny’s mother, Sandra Gonzalez, back in 2011.

No parent should have to go through a something like this. But we’re glad Criss can be there for his family in their time of need.

Our hearts go out to Angel and his loved ones.
