The beef between Demi Lovato‘s producers and the pop duo Sleigh Bells is certainly getting real as both sides are standing their ground surrounding the starlet’s song, Stars.
As we previously reported, the musical pair feel that Miz Lovato and her team TOTALLY ripped off not one, but two of their tracks! Oof.
However the song’s producers, Carl Falk and Rami, have officially denied that they sampled the work of the frustrated artists.
“We did not use any samples in Demi Lovato’s song Stars. Demi was also not involved with the production. She only wrote top line.”
Way to close ranks guys! Demi’s yet to comment on all the drama.
Still, SB are pretty confident that the song sounds eerily familiar to their hits Infinity Guitars and Riot Rhythm. Their rep noted:
“I can confirm that the band feels their music has been sampled without proper clearance and are seeking all available remedies with [Lovato’s record label] Island Records.”
Well that sounds daunting. Nonetheless, it appears that rock group simply wants what they feel is due to them and have no ill will against the the 23-year-old.
On Tuesday, the pair took to Twitter and shared:
LOLz! We can only IMAGINE the messages they’re being flooded with.
