We wouldn’t hold our breath!
Rachel Dolezal, the woman that grabbed the nation’s attention by pretending to be black, had a HUGE admission this week on The Real.
While the former NAACP chapter head was chatting with the ladies on the talk show, she finally acknowledged that she was “biologically born white.”
Of course this was easy for her to admit now, four months after going on NBC Nightly News and saying:
“I haven’t had a DNA test, there’s been no biological proof that Larry and Ruthanne are my biological parents.”
Regardless, Rachel’s father, Larry Dolezal has spoken up about her recent TV appearance and said that he hopes her confession will serve as a stepping stone for his daughter to repair wounds with her siblings.
Not only that, but Mr. Dolezal also wants Rachel to take responsibility for helping to contribute to a sexual abuse case that was brought against her biological brother — even though it was later dropped.
Larry still hasn’t seen or heard from his daughter since the scandal broke, despite speaking out on a couple TV shows about the controversy.
At the end of the day, Larry said his biggest wish for Rachel is that:
“She’ll be honest in everything with her family now”
We hope that she can mend some old wounds as well and get her head on straight, especially since she’s having a baby!
What do you think? Was Monday’s admission the first step in the right direction or will Rachel never change?
