Bindi Irwin’s DWTS Contract Was Rejected Because The Judge Needs Proof Steve Irwin Is Dead — HUH?!

Bindi Irwin

Wait, what??

Bindi Irwin‘s contract for Dancing With The Stars was rejected because a Superior Court Judge in El Lay needs proof that the 17-year-old’s father, the late Steve Irwin, is in fact dead.

DWTS is required to submit the paperwork because the Crocodile Hunter‘s daughter is a minor. Her mother Terri has already signed off, giving up the rights to the money her daughter makes from the competition show — but the judge is requesting the same release from her late dad.

Without the proof, the judge said:

“The court is unable to find that it is in the best interest of the minor to be bound by the terms of the contract.”

Unless the judge lives under a rock, we’re sure she’s aware of the circumstances, but is being a stickler for the official paperwork.

Lawyers for the ABC show are reportedly willing to provide whatever information necessary.

Bindi continues to flourish on the series — and she’s already guaranteed $230k as we enter week nine.

We hope this all gets sorted out soon!
