Wow. Who knew there was so much to say about Scientology??
Obviously we’re kidding because Leah Remini wrote a whole book on it!
The former Scientologist and Oscar-winning director Paul Haggis decided to chat with each other and share their own experiences with the church at her Troublemaker: Surviving Hollywood and Scientology book signing on Wednesday.
Like for instance, how the King Of Queens starlet was the only person who continued to stay in touch when he left the church, despite still being a Scientology member. He revealed:
“You did not have to do that. We were not close friends.”
Leah understands that now, especially since she opened up about her own experience with it, confessing she is “going to have godchildren and family I won’t ever see.”
Ugh. That’s such a sad thought! Especially since the 45-year-old added she thought they would they would stand by her side.
For other celebs who have left, Paul describes them being told to keep it a secret, saying Hollywood agents would advise:
“‘Walk away. Don’t say anything. It will hurt your career.'”
And while he won’t name names, that’s what they did.
On another note, at least they’ll be able to do yoga again! According to Leah, she claims that it was banned:
“[I was told] it would mix the practices of the religion.”
Guess you can assume any self-proclaimed yoga lovers definitely aren’t Scientologists! Ha!
