Terminally Ill Star Wars Fan Dies After Seeing The Force Awakens Early

This is just heartbreaking.

Last week we heard about Daniel Fleetwood, a huge Star Wars fan who got the sad news that he wasn’t going to make it to the premiere of The Force Awakens.

His terminal cancer diagnosis in July gave him just two months to live.

Fortunately, Daniel was able to hold on longer than expected. And after a social media campaign that attracted the attention of Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, and John Boyega, the superfan was allowed by Disney and Lucasfilm to see Episode VII early in a special screening.

Just five days later, Daniel lost the battle with his spindle cell sarcoma.

His wife Ashley informed fans who had followed his story on Facebook of the sad news, saying:
