Jessa Duggar Has An Eerily Similar & SCARY Labor Experience To Sister Jill Duggar After Needing A Blood Transfusion!

Jessa Seewald (née Duggar) will be the first to admit labor is hard!

On Wednesday, the new mom opened up about the birthing process for her son who took nearly 48 hours to be born last week. Yikes!

She shared:

“Labor is hard. It was very intense, very long. Everything was different than I expected.”

Yeah, we’d have to agree with 23-year-old since she went through about 10 hours of contractions alone. Not to mention, the 19 Kids and Counting star was following a natural, home birth plan. Whoa!

But Ben Seewald‘s wife almost abandoned having her baby at home when things got a little tricky.

She continued:

“I said, ‘That’s it! I’m done! I am going to the hospital and I’m going to get an epidural. They asked me if I really wanted to do that and I said, ‘No, I don’t, but I do.’ I wanted to try natural if at all possible.”

Color us impressed.

Even the new dad seemed concerned for his lady as she went through the whole ordeal. However, the starlet’s mom Michelle Duggar dialed 911 after her daughter began losing too much blood following the arrival of the little one.

After almost fainting, Jessa underwent a blood transfusion and stayed overnight at the hospital. Scary!

She relayed:

“I tried to keep my head, I was awake and alert. I had dreamed about those first moments, getting to breastfeed right away, all that. And so when I had to go to the hospital, it was a shock.”

We can only imagine how traumatizing that entire experience was. In fact, Jessa’s sister Jill Dillard had an eerily similar experience while in labor — as it took 70 hours for her son to come into the world. Jeepers!

Luckily, both the young mother and son now seem happy and healthy.

She concluded:

“I can’t believe he’s really ours. It is so amazing. He’s a miracle.”

Congratulations again to the Seewald family on their new arrival.
