This is so adorable!
Well now the 47-year-old has started to open up about his recovery and return to comedy. In an interview with ET, Tracy said:
“I remember this time last year I was in a wheelchair wondering if I was gonna walk again. Now I’m doing a Footlocker commercial.”
The SNL alum isn’t just filming a commercial though, as he was spotted over a month ago filming a scene for his first movie since the accident.
But the funnyman also recognizes what helped him get through the tough times and revealed that it was actually his 2-year-old daughter, Maven, who kept him smiling. He shared:
“She made me laugh a lot during my therapy. She loved daddy, and she made daddy laugh a lot.”
The comedian also gushed about his wife, Megan Wollover, who he married back in August after a four-year engagement:
“She was my rock. [She] still is. She was right there telling me, ‘Don’t worry about it.’ All she kept saying was, ‘I love you,’ and, ‘Don’t worry about it, you’re gonna be better than ever.'”
We can’t imagine going through something that horrific and losing a close friend in the process, but the former 30 Rock star seems to have a very healthy outlook on life now as he said:
“The things that worried me and that were important before, aren’t so important now. When you spend weeks in comas, then you hear and see things differently. I see life differently. I embrace it more.”
He went on:
“And to my fans, I’m glad I was able to come back and finish the job of making them laugh. This is for you.”
We’re just so glad to have Morgan back and couldn’t be happier to hear that he’s getting back to his old self.
We love you, Tracy!
