Nick Jonas Gets Serious For i-D Magazine, Talking ‘Fearless’ Miley Cyrus, The Gay Community, & MORE!

Nick scores a spread in i-D magazine!

Justin Bieber may have snagged the cover of i-D‘s Winter issue, but Nick Jonas‘ feature is giving readers something else to drool over!

The newly released spread has the Levels singer looking pensive in his DSquared2 threads.

While he’s maybe a bit more bundled up than we’re used to seeing him, there’s no denying this JoBro looks amazing!!

Luckily his interview with the glossy is pretty revealing!

Speaking of his Disney days, the 23-year-old dished on his “first crush“, Miley Cyrus:

“I’m blown away by her, she’s fearless. Disney was our high school. We all dated and broke each other’s├óΓé¼┬ª There’s a lot of life lived between all of us.”

It was very recently that Nick actually shared a throwback shot of the two of them to Instagram, so clearly she’s been on his mind.

Which speaking of social media, the currently single hunk revealed not only that the selfie obsession is “bizarre”, but also that:

“Social media is not important. It’s discouraging when you go to dinner with friends and their priority is posting pictures of the food and not having a good conversation.”

Well, now everyone knows what his pet peeve is. LOLz!

But getting down to his music, Nick really emphasized:

“The biggest compliment is when people hear my music and don’t believe it’s me. Every day there’s an element of risk. How are people going to react? I don’t put any pressure on myself. There’s an acceptance for me as a solo artist, as a man. But if people don’t like me, I’m not crushed.”

As for his aspirations??

“I also look up to Kanye [West] and Lady GaGa. She makes an impact without being afraid of anything. Unapologetic artistry is the best. You respect the people who are moving and shaking and not listening to anybody’s naysaying. That’s the kind of artist I hope to be. With the Brothers, it wasn’t always very human. Now I say what I want.”

Good for him! We also love that the actor slash singer speaks up for what he believes in. Though he won’t deny or confirm anything, Nick did admit:

“When I went solo, I figured out what I wanted my opinions to be. Accepting the gay community was a priority because they’ve been so accepting of me. My message is not just acceptance but action. I don’t view it as my battle, but I’m happy to raise my voice for a cause that I believe in.”

Love it!!

Now go and ch-ch-check out his smoldering spread in the gallery (above)!
