Now this is good sportsmanship!

Just a few days after knocking out Ronda Rousey in a very surprising second round upset at the MMA‘s UFC 193, Holly Holm has a message for all those kicking the former champ while she’s down.

Holm talked to TMZ Sports about wanting haters to back away from the fallen legend, saying:

“I think people can be pretty brutal, and when you’re in the spot she’s in, there are people that are just going to jump ship and I don’t ever wish for that. I have a lot of respect for her.”

The new champ also had very high praise for her opponent:

“Ronda’s been a very dominant champ, and she’s taken the sport to new levels, and this fight wouldn’t have happened if she hadn’t accomplished what she’s accomplished.”

Very respectful — and true!

Holm is reacting to the big backlash that celebrities and others showed on social media and elsewhere when Rousey was knocked out, including Lady GaGa posting a very pointed pic (below):

Or these comments from former boxing champion Laila Ali:

“I don’t even want to talk about [Ronda] because there’s so many things I could say, but at this point in order to be the best in the world you definitely don’t ever get beat up like that in your prime, period. I don’t think she should have a rematch with Holly Holm, because I think it would go the same way a second time ├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥ probably worse.”

Damn!!
