It’s been quite the controversial year for Tom Brady.
His relationship with Gisele Bündchen began to get picked apart, and rumors started circling their marriage was coming to an end. Except he went on the record saying the model is his biggest supporter.
And guess what? All of the crap that’s been thrown at the New England Patriot‘s quarterback doesn’t matter, because the 38-year-old was named one of GQ‘s 2015 Men of the Year.
Since this is the 20th anniversary of the magazine’s highest honor, the publication’s head honchos felt it was only appropriate to reward someone who has been kicking ass for the past 20 years.
In fact, in spite of all the criticism and the cheating claims, the article immediately stated:
“Tom Brady is the greatest quarterback in NFL history.”
Sure, he danced around the questions about the sports scandal that erupted earlier this year, but he really doesn’t give a f*ck about anyone who feels like talking crap about his team, saying:
“I don’t really care how the Patriots are perceived, truthfully. I really don’t. I really don’t. Look, if you’re a fan of our team, you root for us, you believe in our team, and you believe in what we’re trying to accomplish. If you’re not a fan of us, you have a different opinion.”
Plus, it has to be telling that even after eight months of being the center of a media witch hunt, the scandalized sports star was STILL named Man of the Year.
Oh and by the way, President Barack Obama was also honored. Which means Tom literally received the same award as the leader of the free world. LOLz!
