Well this is awkward.

A lot of people have been giving their two cents on Charlie Sheen‘s HIV-positive status — including his former Two and a Half Men costar Jenny McCarthy.

As we previously reported, the blonde beauty took to her SiriusXM radio show on Wednesday and called out her former TV lover for not being more transparent with his diagnosis. Ouch!

However, the Red Dawn heartthrob didn’t take Donnie Wahlberg‘s wife’s shade lightly and quickly responded to her comments with a statement of his own.

Sheen’s manager Mark Burg, noted:

“Charlie was infected long after he left Two and a Half Men and long after he worked with Jenny.”

The former Playboy up-and-comer played Sheen’s girlfriend on the CBS comedy periodically between 2007 and 2011. However, Charlie is vehement that he wasn’t diagnosed with HIV until he started Anger Management in 2011.

Well that’s cutting it close. We totally get where Jenny is coming from.

Nonetheless, you can’t change the past — but Martin Sheen‘s son could potentially face several major lawsuits from previous sexual partners who claim they did NOT know about the virus.

We have feeling the former View host’s criticism is the least of Charlie’s worries. Merp!
