But on top of her regular success, the Hunger Games star has landed yet another title to her list of stellar accolades — Entertainment Weekly‘s Entertainer of the Year!
Since starring in 2010’s Winter’s Bone, the 25-year-old has become Hollywood’s highest paid actress — largely in part to her iconic turn as Katniss Everdeen on the big screen.
She told EW:
“It’s crazy. I signed on to these projects when I was 20 years old. I remember being like, ├óΓé¼╦£Oh my God, I’m going to be 25 when I’m finished. It seemed so far away.”
With Mockingjay — Part 2 in theaters, J.Law noted the finality of the franchise that made her a household name. She added:
“It does feel over. It didn’t for a while and I didn’t think it would ever sink in, but it has now. It feels over. And that’s okay. It’s okay to move on.”
No doubt, Lawrence will be moving on to more awards after teaming up with David O. Russell for the upcoming drama Joy, where she plays a determined woman who becomes the matriarch of her family over four decades!
O’Russell has directed Lawrence in 2013’s American Hustle and her Oscar winning role in 2012’s Silver Linings Playbook — and this won’t be the last time they work together! She revealed:
“David and I will never, ever, ever, ever not do movies together. I love him so much that sometimes I can’t talk about him without tearing up. Look! I’m tearing up. I understand every look, every eyeball move, every word he says or doesn’t say. We were made for each other.”
