Well that was suspenseful!
Sunday night’s midseason finale of The Walking Dead has once again left us wondering how Rick and his crew will make it out alive!
But before we get to that, we’ve got a little taste of what’s to come as AMC dropped a teaser for Negan’s arrival next year (above)!
As for the midseason finale, it was an excitingly tense episode as several characters were put in EXTREMELY dangerous positions — what else is new — and one character ended up biting the dust!
As as the walkers drove the townspeople of Alexandria to scatter to different corners of their little establishment, Rick, Deanna, Michonne, Carl, Ron, and Father Gabriel decided to hide out in Jessie’s house where both Sam and Judith were holed up.
During the group’s escape, Deanna (Tovah Feldshuh) was injured. The wound originally just looked like a nasty cut, but unfortunately for the head of the town it was more than just a flesh wound — she was bitten!
Of course Deanna ended up dying, but before she did, the diplomat made sure to pass the torch of running Alexandria on to Rick and Michonne — along with Maggie and Spencer, to whom Rick is supposed to deliver some letters.
By the end, the group is still spread out waiting for the siege of walkers to pass.
Will Rick and his crew get past the walkers with Sam crying? Will Morgan and Carol find the escaped Wolf? Will Glenn FINALLY make it back to the newly pregnant Maggie?!
We know you’re already counting the days but make sure you mark your calendars for February 14 at 9 p.m. EST when The Walking Dead returns to AMC!
