It’s no secret that The Rosses make up one of the most famous fams in all of Hollywood with Diana Ross, Tracee Ellis Ross, and Evan Ross each a celeb in their own right.

But just because talent runs in the family doesn’t mean both of the soul-singing legend’s kids are completely comfortable performing live onstage.

While Evan is a singer first and an actor second, Tracee found fame going the comedic route, and currently stars on ABC‘s Black-ish — which is why it was such a surprise to hear that Diana invited her daughter to perform live with her in Las Vegas last weekend!

In fact, it had been 36 years since the pair last performed together, so Tracee took the opportunity to address childhood stage fright and living in her mother’s shadow on Facebook Sunday, saying:

We’ve seen Tracee excel as host of the BET Awards and other live events, so it’s shocking to hear that she was so shy as a kid!
