Rick Ross’ Ex Wants Her Money — Challenges 50 Cent’s ‘Extravagant, Excessive & Unreasonable’ Lawyer Fees

50 Cent

50 Cent AKA Curtis Jackson isn’t the only one with some money issues — it seems his lawyers have a bit of a spending problem, too!

Lastonia Leviston, Rick Ross‘ baby momma who just won $7 million lawsuit against the Candy Shop rapper, filed new court papers challenging the expenses filed by Jackson’s reps (Brewer Attorneys & Counselors) during the trial.

ICYMI: Fiddy edited himself into a sex tape of Leviston and her then-boyfriend Maurice Murray wearing a wacky wig and a robe — as part of his ongoing feud with Ross. The court awarded her $2 million in punitive damages on top of $5 million for violating her civil rights and causing emotional distress.

Because the In Da Club rapper filed for bankruptcy shortly after, Leviston hasn’t been able to get her moola.

Now, she’s taking action saying that the 40-year-old’s lawyers were living the life of luxury and writing off all the “extravagant, excessive and unreasonable” expenses during the trial, which added up to $123,455.92.

Leviston says her lawyers spent less than $3,000… and they won the case!

Her filing with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court said 50’s lawyers were shacking up in $1,000-per-night luxury rooms when there were obviously much more affordable options:

“Ms. Leviston’s attorneys stayed in a New York City hotel for the same trial as the Brewer Firm’s attorneys and expended $249 to $450 per night per room.”

All Leviston wants is the reimbursement amounts to be “disallowed, or alternatively, significantly reduced” so that she can get her check and be on her way.

William A. Brewer III says his firm isn’t concerned about the filing:

“We believe all of the firm’s expenses were appropriate, and we are prepared to demonstrate that to the court. We are confident the court will conclude these expenses were reasonable.”

Reasonable, but very ineffective, it seems!

We wonder what happens now.
