We’re not even sure what to say about this any more.
The summer of Donald Trump quickly became the fall of The Donald, and now, it appears the winter will be Trump’s to win, as well.
A new CNN/ORC poll released on Friday morning reveals that the real estate mogul is absolutely dominating the Republican race for president, more than doubling his next closest GOP rival, Ted Cruz.
Amazingly, as strong as Trump has been polling even before this, the 36% of support he garnered on this poll is now both the highest percentage and largest lead he’s ever had since announcing his candidacy for president.
Behind Trump’s 36%, Cruz is currently polling at 16%, followed by Ben Carson (14%), Marco Rubio (12%), Chris Christie (just 4%), and then Carly Fiorina and Jeb Bush (with just 3% each).
Republicans in that same poll said they found Trump the most trustworthy on immigration and ISIS, and 52% of GOP voters believe it’s The Donald who has the best chance of beating the Democrats’ nominee for president in November 2016.
We are in December now, and the election is now less than eleven months away — the longer he stays at the top of the polls, the better the shot Trump has at actually being the GOP nominee!
How is this even happening??
