With a countless number of blockbusters under his belt, you wouldn’t think Channing Tatum is the type to get nervous on the first day filming a movie!
But when he was on the set of Quentin Tarantino‘s The Hateful Eight, the Magic Mike XXL star admitted he was “really intimidated” by the all star cast!
Speaking at a press conference for the film in El Lay on Saturday, the actor revealed:
“I think on the first day, I must have looked so geeked out because the very first shot was this crazy 360 [degree pan]. And I’m just like wide-eyed trying to figure out what not to screw up.”
We don’t blame Channing for being nervous about to film Tarantino veterans like Samuel L. Jackson, Kurt Russell, and Michael Madsen!
Thankfully, Reservoir Dogs star Tim Roth offered the 35-year-old some tough love on the first day of filming:
“All these guys work together a lot, and it is a unique experience to be in a Quentin movie, I can promise you…And Tim goes, ‘Yep. Yep. You’re about to be in a Quentin Tarantino film. Pull it together, Channing.’ I looked so scared.”
But working with an all star cast wasn’t all daunting, as the actor was thrilled to reunite with Jackson as the two worked together in Tatum’s first film Coach Carter!
“I did my first movie ever with Sam, and to come full circle like this is pretty extraordinary.”
The actor sure has come a long way since 2005!
See Channing’s appearance in The Hateful Eight, hitting theaters on Christmas Day!
