As a mall Santa Claus, Caleb Ryan Sigmon is usually asked for things like dolls and XBox games. But he was recently approached by a man with a far more devastating request.

The father revealed that his young son had passed away, and all he wanted for Christmas was for Santa to take a picture with his boy.

The tragic request is completely understandable considering children taking their first photo with “Santa” is a rite of passage.
