UPDATE 3:31 P.M. EST: Tanner Maintain has responded with the following statement:
“Tanner Mainstain never sought Ms. Doherty’s confidential medical information from SAG. Before the lawsuit was even filed and as the tapes clearly indicate, they merely sought information regarding where a SAG invoice was mailed. The motion filed by her attorneys is a diversion and has nothing to do with the merits of the case. When the whole truth comes out, Tanner Mainstain is confident it will be vindicated in the court of law, where this case belongs.”
This came after not being able to regularly visit the doctor because her business manager at Tanner, Mainstain, Glynn & Johnson failed to pay for her health insurance premium in 2014.
Shannen claims in the original lawsuit that, in 2013, the company received a bill for her insurance for the year of 2014, but ignored the invoice. Since the bill never got paid, the actress said her coverage was canceled, and she couldn’t be insured again until this year. And it was also last February when the management firm fired her.
Now, in a shocking new filing by the 44-year-old, evidence is revealed that an employee of the firm impersonated the Beverly Hills, 90210 star in order to obtain confidential medical information to help their case in the suit.
In one phone call with SAG Health Plan, when Tanner Mainstain employee Kimberly Gabay was asked her name, she clearly responded, “Shannen Doherty.” Her plan to obtain Doherty’s billing records went up in smoke when she couldn’t verify the mailing address.

Another Tanner Maintain employee Tia Boyd made another call to SAG Health Plan during which she was able to provide Doherty’s social security number among other personal information:
This is pretty terrifying considering how serious the problem of identity theft is these days. AND, not to mention, the amount of information celebrities entrust with their various representation.
Doherty’s attorney Devin McRae shared:
“The illicit conduct by Tanner Mainstain’s employees detailed in this motion speaks volumes regarding the integrity and credibility of this business management firm ├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥ something to think about when they ask you for complete control over your finances and a power of attorney.”
