On Wednesday, John Krasinski showed off his new action movie body (above) for the January/February issue of Men’s Health magazine. Fierce!
Originally known as the adorkable lead in The Office, the 36-year-old certainly pulled a Chris Pratt and got into serious shape for his new role in 13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi. Can you believe he got THAT buff in only 16 weeks??
However, before the big transformation, the Promised Land actor decided to have one last major indulgence while on vacation in Mexcio with his wife Emily Blunt. On New Years Day, the couple and a few friends ate 50 quesadillas.
Whoa! He explained:
“There was a create-your-own quesadilla thing, and this guy just kept making us quesadillas. I thought, ‘This is it. This is my last night of freedom.’ So I went for it. I thought, ‘Oh, it’ll all turn into muscle.’ That’s where I didn’t really understand the science.”
HA! Well that’s fair.
Still, it seems that most of the credit for John’s fit frame should go to his trainer Jason Walsh. The A-lister’s fitness expert helped him get down to 5% body fat. Color us impressed!
On his twice a day, five times a week work out, John added:
“To look like the guys you’d want to have saving you if you were in trouble. I gotta be honest: It was brutal at times. We did tons of metabolic work, dragging sleds and all this stuff I’ve seen NFL players do.”
AH-Mazing! And it seems the hard work has paid off as it appears the Hollywood hunk is now addicted to working out. He noted:
“Getting stronger every day is thrilling. To be able to do 20 pull-ups… I think there’s a part of you where you become addicted to it. I love feeling strong. You pick up your daughter with ease, while everyone else makes a little grunt when they pick up their kids. I walk with better posture and a little more presence. I was more of a sit-in-the-corner guy. Now I’m a lot less of that.”
Well whatever you’re doing it is working and we LOVES it! Well done.
Be sure to pick up your copy of the magazine when it hits stands on December 22!
