Don’t worry, Adele still hasn’t run out of records to break!
In fact, the British crooner has managed to break her own record after her smash hit Hello has stayed at the top of the Billboard Hot 100 chart for the eighth consecutive week!
This is the longest the 27-year-old’s single has topped the prestigious chart, surpassing her previously reigning hit Rolling in the Deep — which ruled for seven weeks in 2011!
Thanks to this success, Adele is the first British solo artist to land two No. 1 hits for at least seven weeks each, and the ONLY Brit act to do so other than The Beatles –who topped the chart for seven weeks with 1964’s I Want to Hold Your Hand and for nine weeks with 1968’s Hey Jude!
Adele’s album 25 leads the Billboard 200 for a fourth week, and has become the best-selling album since 21 as of this week!
And after making its debut at No. 1, Hello ties for the fourth-longest stretch a chart-topping tune stayed at the top!
Check out what other hits stayed at the top of the Hot 100 after making their No. 1 debut (below)!
