Justin Bieber Is In A Tight Race To Top The UK Charts This Christmas — So Why Is He Supporting His Biggest Rival??

Someone's in a giving mood!

Justin Bieber wants to give back this holiday season.

On Wednesday, it was reported that the pop star has some pretty close competition for the number one spot on the UK charts for Christmas.

Rivaling the blonde babe’s Love Yourself — the latest single off Purpose — is the Lewisham & Greenwich NHS Choir‘s A Bridge Over You, a song where all the proceeds will go to charity.

The most recent numbers revealed that the group had closed the gap to just a couple hundred sales.

And now that the hospital choir — which includes doctors and nurses — is neck-and-neck with the superstar, the 21-year-old is asking his Beliebers to bump him out of the top rank!

It all started when the Biebs’ manager, Scooter Braun, brought the charitable song to his attention, posting on Twitter:

The singer shared Scooter’s message on his own profile, and decided he was officially backing his new rivals, sharing:

The artist even included a link for his almost-72 million followers to download the single! With such a narrow margin between the two tracks, we’re sure this will bump NHS’ song up to the number one spot!

It’s pretty clear the hitmaker sabotaged his own victory because he’s totally feeling the holiday spirit! He added:

If you want to help out the cause, you can download A Bridge Over You here! Nice work, Justin!

Oh, and we’re guessing Ed Sheeran — who Scott also called out for his work on JB’s track — would have helped out, too, except he’s totally off the grid right now.
