Star Wars Fan Arrested After Threatening School Shooting Over The Force Awakens Spoilers

We understand hating spoilers but this is ridiculous!

Star Wars: The Force Awakens destroyed box office records this past weekend which means a TON of people saw it!

Unfortunately for Arthur Charles Roy of Helena, Montana, he hadn’t made it out to the theater before he saw a friend’s Facebook post that included spoilers regarding a subplot of the movie.

However, Roy didn’t handle learning about the spoilers the way most people would have — you know, getting mad at himself for not seeing it opening day and then unfollowing his buddy.

Instead, Arthur decided to take to the social media site and share a picture of himself holding a gun and threatening to come to his friend’s school to shoot him.

Roy allegedly told his friend the gun was a Colt 1911 with a “hair trigger” — though his mom later claimed it was just a BB gun.

As a result of the threat, police were called, the young man was arrested, and the high school his friend attends was locked down on Friday morning because students were afraid Roy might go through with his threat.

Currently Roy is in jail with his bail set at $10,000.

Even if the teen isn’t convicted, he’s currently looking at a more serious crime as he was arrested back in October for sexual intercourse without consent with a 14-year-old. As Montana law states, anyone under 16 years of age cannot consent to sexual intercourse.

Regardless of what happens, we think it’s absolutely ABSURD anyone would threaten to shoot someone else for spoiling a movie — especially with all the gun violence lately.

What do you think of the boy’s threat?
