Vine Star Arrested After Hours-Long Standoff With Virginia Police Following Domestic Disturbance

Bryan Silva

Wow. This is very disturbing.

Vine star Bryan Silva was arrested and charged with abduction and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon on Sunday after an extensive standoff with police at his Virginia home.

The 25-year-old, for some bizarre reason, is a social media influencer with over 460k followers on Vine alone. He is most known for making fake gun noises, showing off his wide array of (usually loaded) guns, and the highly-repeated phrase “gratata.”

Terrifying. He’s basically a walking argument for gun control.

Silva — who calls himself a rapper, porn star, and body builder — barricaded himself inside his home after police responded to a 911 call from a 17-year-old woman who reported an alleged domestic disturbance around 6 a.m. Sunday morning.

Charlottesville Police Chief Tim Longo said Silva eventually surrendered after police used a chemical irritant before entering the home:

“It was a domestic disturbance. A female caller said that she was threatened with a firearm, we responded and began an investigation.”

Silva posted cringe-worthy videos to his Facebook page while authorities surrounded his home. In one clip, he is seen drinking and pouring vodka. In another, he threatens the cops:

In another news clip, Silva is seen being taken from his home with his pants around his ankles:

To top it off, this isn’t Silva’s first run in with the law. In an interview with Complex mag, he said spent three years in jail for “breaking and entering, but also for hitting the school principal.”

Silva remains in jail on an unspecified amount of bail, according to court records.
