The Motownphilly performers will play a trio version of the role played by Frankie Avalon in the 1978 film! Three times the fun!
The R&B group — made up of Shawn Stockman, Nathan Morris, and Wanya Morris — announced their casting on Twitter, singing:
Yasss! We cannot wait to see the Boyz sing Beauty School Dropout to a pink-haired Jepsen!
The group is the latest addition to the cast that headlined by Julianne Hough as Sandy and Aaron Tveit as Danny!
The rest of the supporting all-star cast includes Keke Palmer as Marty, Vanessa Hudgens as Rizzo, Carlos PenaVega as Kenickie, Kether Donohue as Jan, David Del Rio as Putzie, Jordan Fisher as Doody, Andrew Call as Sonny, and Ana Gasteyer as Principal McGee!
