Ricky Gervais wasn’t the only one who told offensive jokes during the Golden Globes!

On Sunday night, America Ferrera and Eva Longoria threw the classiest shade of the show before they announced the winner for Best Actor in a TV Drama (which went to Jon Hamm!)

Calling out the Globes for previously confusing Ferrara with Gina Rodriguez on their official Twitter account, the Superstore actress and Telenovela star reminded everyone at home that they were not to be confused with other Latina actresses.

The ladies said on stage:

“Hi, I’m Eva Longoria, not Eva Mendes.”

“And I’m America Fererra, not Gina Rodriguez.”

MTV Australia tried to play into the joke, but ended up offending people on Twitter instead! They shared (then deleted):

Yikes! While they MUST have been trying to ironically play along with the bit, we totally get how people could take offense to that!

After getting major heat, MTV Australia apologized and promised it would leave the jokes to the pros, posting:

What do YOU think? Did the Twitter account cross the line with its joke?
