David had no wishes for a funeral.

It’s been a few days since the passing of David Bowie, but the news hasn’t gotten easier to swallow.

According to new reports, the Blackstar singer was cremated in New York soon after his death on Sunday, per his wishes.

A source explained the 69-year-old “has been secretly cremated in America without friends or family present.” There will also be no funeral.

David supposedly made his plans clear to his wife, Iman, and the rest of his family, as he wanted to go “without any fuss.”

So sad!

But the icon’s music will most certainly live on.

Another insider shared:

“In many respects you don’t need a memorial or service to remember David by…you have his music instead. He would have wanted to just disappear with no fuss, no big show, no fan-fare. This would totally be his style… His last album Blackstar was very much his goodbye to fans instead.”

Well, he is very much missed.
