Joey Feek has been a testament to the strong bond between mother and daughter as she continues her battle with terminal cancer.
We’ve followed the country singer’s health journey through her husband Rory Feek‘s blog, and there is an undeniable joy in the precious moments the momma has with her 22-month-old daughter Indiana.
In Rory’s latest update, he describes how little Indy has continued to help lift her mother’s spirits — even as Joey’s health declines.
Alongside the post, the songwriter shared adorable images of their little girl in a cheerleading outfit rooting for her mother from the hospice bed.
The 49-year-old singer penned:
“I don’t know where Indy gets her personality from. Joey says it’s from me. I’m not sure I believe her. But no matter├óΓé¼┬ª one thing is for sure, our little one has one of the most expressive little faces I’ve ever seen.”
“I sat Indy on Joey’s bed so she could spend a few minutes with her mama. Joey had had some tough days and the decline of her condition was weighing heavy on her and all of our minds. But in a matter of minutes, Indy had her mama laughing out loud├óΓé¼┬ª Like she did that day in August at the hospital in Atlanta when Joey was starting chemo, I think our baby is continuing to cheer her mama on in her fight ├óΓé¼ΓÇ£ the best way she knows how. By making her smile.”
All the feels!!!
We love seeing this beautiful family cherish every moment they have together.
Our thoughts and prayers continue to be with the Feeks.
