Stephen Colbert isn’t exactly a master prankster!
Earlier this week, Olivia Munn dispelled engagement rumors the best way possible by posting a hilarious text conversation with her mother!
After reports surfaced claiming that the Ride Along 2 star got engaged to her boyfriend Aaron Rodgers, the actress was getting congratulated left and right by friends and family.
And after even her own mother asked if the rumors were true, Munn decided to share a screenshot of their conversation, in which her Asian mother expressed excitement that Olivia would soon be on “Colberto.”
On Thursday’s The Late Show, the 35-year-old shared the conversation to Colberto himself — who couldn’t help but seize the opportunity to prank Munn’s momma Kim with another text message!
The CBS host sent a congratulatory text back to Kim from her daughter’s phone. The actress posted the confused conversation on Instagram:

It turns out, Momma Munn had a good sense of humor about the whole thing — but wasn’t going to let Colbert off that easily!
After the late night host wrote an apology on his Twitter, Munn sent a response back on behalf of her mom:
AH-Mazing! We would LOVE to see the actress’s mom appear on Colberto herself one day! Watch the video (below) to see how it went down!
