Jamie Foxx is a regular ole hero!

As we previously reported, the Oscar winner rescued a driver from a burning car earlier this week near his El Lay home. Fierce!

A day later, the Ray actor took to Instagram to show the only reward (above) needed for his good deed — a hug from the victim Brett Kyle‘s father. Aww!

He wrote:

“Met the father of the young man from last night today. This is all that matters. That a man, a son, a brother’s life was spared last night. God had his arms wrapped around all of us…No heroes…Just happy fathers.”

We’re not crying, you’re crying! It seems that the A-lister doesn’t want to be praised as a hero, but was more than happy to help.

The 48-year-old told reporters:

“I’m not a hero, but had to do something.”

We respect his decision to be humble!

Still, according to a police statement, Jamie and another witness rushed to the scene to flip the overturned car following the crash. In an inneresting turn of events, the driver has since been charged with a DUI. Scary!

While the Django Unchained star is playing down his role in the rescue, his daughter Corinne dubbed the scenario a “life and death situation” on Twitter:

Be sure to ch-ch-check Jamie’s in detail description about what actually went down following the crash (below)!
