Here’s The Last American Idol Audition EVER — Can The Judges Hold It Together??

no title

Realistically, the winner has to come from this episode, right?

In a sentence we never thought we’d utter, American Idol started wrapping up on Thursday as it aired its final audition episode ever.

Jennifer Lopez, Keith Urban, Harry Connick, Jr., and Ryan Seacrest were all on hand as the FOX singing competition tried one last time to recreate the Kelly Clarkson and Carrie Underwood magic.

But aside from the music, the real emotional part of the night was the judges’ realizations that they were at the end of an era.

The trio got pretty honest about watching the former juggernaut come to an end after 15 years, saying:

J.Lo:
“I think what I’ll miss is the feeling of a Scotty McCreery or a Phillip Phillips walking in the room, and we go, ‘I think we just discovered someone really special!'”

Keith:
“It’s crazy! But what a way to end. I’m gonna miss this show. I’m gonna miss being on it, I’m going to miss it being on├óΓé¼┬ª it’s just been part of the landscape, really, for 15 years.”

Harry:
“I remember being at the very first finale, when Kelly won. Now that I’ve been a judge for three years, it has left an undeniably wonderful mark on my heart.”

So sad! No mo’ Idol!

Even though we already know who makes the Top 24 we may actually watch Hollywood Week for a lil extra! LOLz!
