To catch you up, the city is in trouble following a 2014 water supply switch from Detroit to a local water source. Unfortunately for the town’s residents, the supply was found to contain high levels of lead which grossly affected MANY children.
On Sunday, the Tonight Show host announced on Twitter that he was donating $10,000 to Community Foundation Greater Flint — and asked his supporters to do the same:
And he’s not the only one lending a hand…
Marky Mark and Puff also put on their capes and donated one million water bottles from their El Lay-based bottled water company AQUAhydrate. Flint is expected to receive 5,000 cases by Wednesday, and the business also promised to continue sending aid until the contamination problem is fixed.
What an incredible use of resources! Who would’ve ever guessed that much water could come out of LA!
