Well this is confusing…
After the producer of the Oscars himself said he couldn’t wait to see Chris Rock‘s re-written material about the #OscarsSoWhite controversy for the Academy Awards in February, it now turns out… that’s not happening?!
The comedian’s publicist Leslie Sloane said on Monday afternoon to The Hollywood Reporter that Rock has NOT made any changes or decisions about his show to reflect the race controversy:
“Regarding Reggie Hudlin’s comments about Chris Rock’s Oscar hosting duties, neither he nor anyone else speaks for Chris. Chris has made no decisions about the content of the show. All will be revealed on February 28th. We will not comment further on this.”
This comes after Oscars producer Reginald Hudlin revealed the other day that Rock was supposedly writing an entirely new show:
“Chris is hard at work. He and his writing staff locked themselves in a room. As things got a little provocative and exciting, he said, ‘I’m throwing out the show I wrote and writing a new show.'”
Well, what do U think?!
Should Rock re-write his material to focus on the #OscarsSoWhite controversy??
