News Flash: Supergirl is about to get even super-er!
DC Comics is completely crushing it when it comes to the world of television, and it looks like they’re about to up the superhero ante.
It was finally revealed on Wednesday that Supergirl and The Flash are going to have a very special crossover episode next month!
There were rumors that the series — both produced by Greg Berlanti — were eventually going to meet, but we weren’t sure it was actually going to happen since Melissa Benoist is housed on CBS while Grant Gustin calls The CW home.
Secret is out. @melissabenoist and I are gonna get to have some fun on Supergirl together..A photo posted by Grant Gustin (@grantgust) on Feb 3, 2016 at 11:06am PST
How AH-Mazing is that?!
Greg added upon Grant’s initial post with a statement from himself and fellow co-producer Andrew Kreisberg, saying:
“We are so incredibly excited to announce something that we have dreamed of happening since we starting making Supergirl. We want to thank Grant Gustin for making the time to come visit (on top of his already immense workload) and all of the folks at CBS, The CW, Warner Bros. and DC for working this out.
It is our pleasure and hope to create an episode worthy of everyone’s enthusiasm and support!”
You can catch the Supergirl/Flash crossover when it airs Monday, March 28 at 8 p.m. EST on CBS!
Now when do Stephen Amell and Arrow get in on the fun??
