Talk about a crazy accident!

On Wednesday afternoon, El Lay county firefighters were called to a scene where a Lexus sedan had somehow ended up on the roof of a garage in the Palos Verdes Estates. Uh, what?

Apparently, the driver involved in the accident has a prior medical condition which caused him to lose control of his vehicle. Oh no!

The Palos Verdes Estates Police Department Captain Mark Velez said that the driver lost control and hit two parked cars while continuing down the road. The motorist eventually drifted into the yard of one of the homes where he hit a parked vehicle located in a driveway and his car was launched onto the roof of the neighbor’s garage.

Whoa!

Ch-ch-check out the helicopter footage of the wreck (below):

Velez said that only the driver was believed to be injured since only one person was taken to the hospital as a result of the incident.

A woman who was in the house at the time said that the accident sounded like a train coming through the home and that she didn’t even realize there was a car on the roof until a neighbor pointed it out. How do you not know? LOLz!

After the accident, the Fire Department’s Urban Search & Rescue team worked to get the car down safely and securely.

The El Lay County Fire Public Information Office took to Twitter to share images of the accident, as well as a video of the removal of the car from the roof (below).

As wacky as this story is, we’re just glad no one has been reported as seriously injured at this time. Phew!
