Man Dies After Being Found On Fire Outside Prince William & Kate Middleton’s London Palace!

Well this is sad and strange.

A man has died after he was found on fire outside of Prince William and Kate Middleton‘s London palace early Tuesday morning.

According to reports, a London hospital contacted police on Monday night about a patient of theirs who was missing — and just hours later, authorities found the man at the gates of Kensington Palace, home of the royal family.

Thankfully, neither the couple — nor their children Prince George and Princess Charlotte — were home at the time.

After behaving suspiciously for some time, the man lit himself on fire, and by the time emergency crews were in reach to assist him, it was too late — the man (“in his forties”) was pronounced dead shortly before 4 a.m. GMT.

At the very least, though, there is one calming piece of information — London police do not believe there is a greater threat to the public here, telling BBC News:

“This incident is not being treated as terrorist-related.”

Well that’s a relief, we suppose.

Still… bizarre and sad, and our thoughts go out to the man’s family at this time.
