Harry Potter fans from all over the world will be traveling to London’s West End this summer to see the upcoming play Harry Potter and the Cursed Child!
But those Potterheads who won’t be able to make the trip are still in luck!
Because the scripts for Harry Potter and the Cursed Child Parts I & II will be released in print after the play’s premiere on July 31 — aka Harry’s birthday!
A Special Rehearsal Edition of the script will also be released following the play’s debut — which will include the script used in preview performances.
This limited edition will later be replaced by the Definitive Collector’s Edition, which will feature an updated script used during the play’s run.
Harry Potter and the Cursed Child is the eighth story of the fantasy series. Taking place 19 years after the events of Deathly Hallows, the play follows Harry — who now works for the Ministry of Magic — and his youngest son, Albus Severus Potter.
But there’s more! To celebrate the novel’s 20th anniversary, Pottermore also announced plans to release special editions of Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone in the UK.
Four special editions of the first story will be released — one for each house!
It looks like fans will have more reading to do soon enough!
