Ok, Kanye West.
You are NOT gonna get away with trying to claim “bitch” is a term of endearment during this whole Famous feud.
And there’s one more place where you’re wrong: you didn’t even make Taylor Swift famous!
The line from Yeezy’s controversial new track that got everybody interested was the one calling out Tay-Tay specifically, with a refrain about creating her a level of celebrity (below):
“For all my Southside n***as who will know me best / I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex / Why, I made that b*tch famous / God damn / I made that b*tch famous.”
But wait… aside from being offensive, that’s just not true!
Let’s walk down memory lane to that famous night at the MTV VMAs on September 13, 2009 when Yeezus stole the mic from a VERY young Swift, and we have the data to prove it!
Here are just a few of Swift’s accomplishments before that night in September, six years ago:
• 15 songs on the Billboard Hot 100
• 1 Academy of Country Music Award
• 1 American Music Award
• 1 CMA Award
• 5 CMT Music Awards, including two straight wins for Video of the Year in 2008 and 2009
• 3 Teen Choice Awards
• 1 Grammy Nomination (she lost Best New Artist to Amy Winehouse)
And, oh yeah, the VMA she won that STARTED the whole thing!
Hmm… seems like maybe Taylor wasn’t the one whose celebrity rose with the mic-stealing incident, if you catch our drift???
But let’s just keep on lying, Yeezy.
You apparently haven’t dug yourself a big enough hole! Ha!!
