On Sunday night’s RHOA episode, Kenya and Kim’s private feud spilled over into VERY personal territory, when the former decided to call out the latter’s husband Chris in a pretty needless way.
The entire crew was poolside in a scene on last night’s show when Kenya decided to drop a rumor on the other ladies after Kim had left to prepare for a commercial shoot:
“I know y’all have heard the rumors. They call him Chrissy.”
When Phaedra Parks shot back with disbelief about exactly who refers to him as Chrissy, Kenya was quick to fan the flames about Chris’ sexuality to the entire group:
“The industry. For the last ten years, there have been pervasive rumors about Kim’s husband.”
The discredit here isn’t just to Kenya for fanning the flames of a nasty and needless rumor — it’s also on all the other women there who either joined in on the laughing and teasing, or decided not to speak out and shut the conversation down when Kenya took it to far.
And yes, that means Sheree Whitfield and Cynthia Bailey probably should have spoken up and said something when they looked visibly uncomfortable as Kenya joked about Chris’ Broadway past (as if that’s even a bad thing!!!).
Not only do all of these women have gay BFFs themselves, it’s not exactly a good look to be making fun of somebody for something based on their choice of work and career — and it’s doubly bad to do it behind the backs of him AND his wife, Kim.
Fortunately, Sheree finally snapped to her senses the following night when the ladies met up again a few scenes later in Sunday night’s episode, and she told producers it was going to go very differently the second time around:
“The conversation about Chris is much different that last night. I can’t deal with it. I am allergic to fake sh*t.”
Sheree proceeded to drop the conversation right on Kim, in front of all the other women, so you KNOW confrontation is coming between Miz Fields and Miz Moore… only we have to wait until next week’s show to see what happens.
Either way, good for Sheree for finally being unwilling to let Kenya and the others off the hook.
What’d U think of last night’s episodes, and Kenya’s comments specifically??
