Former Miss New Jersey Cara McCollum Critically Injured In Car Accident

A former Miss America contestant from New Jersey, Cara McCollum, was critically injured after a serious car crash on Monday night.

According to state police, her convertible spun off the Route 55 highway in Pittsgrove Township, crashing into multiple trees before stopping at an embankment. So scary!!

The 24-year-old, an anchor for SNJ Today and Miss New Jersey 2013, was wearing a seat belt at the time of accident, but the police believe she may have been driving too fast in wet conditions.

Additionally, they don’t have any reason to believe drugs or alcohol were involved.

Ugh. So sad.
